May 8, 2018 (Wilmington, N.C.) – National Gypsum Company will re-open its Wilmington production facility, investing $25 million over the next five years in new infrastructure and equipment, and creating at least 51 jobs at salaries averaging $57,000 per year.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- For the second year in a row, Wilmington International Airport has set a passenger-count record.
The airport, also known as ILM, saw 836,589 people fly out of and into the airport in 2017. That’s an increase over the former record of 817,896 set in 2016.
